H&R Block, Inc. seeks a year-round Tax Advisor to prepare complex returns for individuals and businesses, delivering personalized guidance and savings opportunities. You will build ongoing client relationships and provide IRS support as needed, within an in-person Block Advisors office.

You bring 5+ years of tax-related experience, strong communication skills, and a consultative approach to client service, meeting IRS and state requirements.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of experience in tax preparation, accounting, finance, or bookkeeping.
• Experience preparing complex individual and business returns, with planning and audit support.
• Strong client-facing, consultative or advisory experience.
• Must meet IRS/state continuing education requirements and have a high school diploma.

Responsibilities

• Prepare complete, accurate tax returns for individuals and business clients.
• Conduct in-depth client interviews and provide personalized tax recommendations.
• Build year-round client relationships and identify tax savings opportunities.
• Provide IRS support, tax notice assistance, and audit guidance as needed.
• Collaborate with team members to maintain a positive, client-focused office.
