The role focuses on high-level review, advisory services, and technical research, balancing individual and corporate tax while embracing AI-driven tools to enhance efficiency and client outcomes.

Qualifications

• 5–7 years of continuous tax experience in a small-to-midsize public accounting firm
• Experience reviewing complex individual and corporate returns
• Strong technical research and advisory capabilities
• Proficient in modern tax software and comfortable with AI-enabled tools
• CPA or EA license is a plus

Responsibilities

• Client portfolio management and primary point of contact for ~1,800 clients
• Review, prepare, and file federal, state, and local tax returns (1040, 1120, 1120-S, 1065, 990, 709)
• Provide strategic tax planning and advisory services to individuals and businesses
• Conduct technical tax research and communicate findings via memos and client sessions
• Assist clients in audits and notices from IRS/state/local tax authorities
• Support adoption of AI-driven tools to optimize workflow and client service
