Job summary

Reid Accountants + Advisors in New York City is seeking an experienced Manager, Tax to join our hybrid office. You will lead tax engagements, supervise staff, and deliver high‑quality planning and compliance services for diverse clients.

The role focuses on federal, state, and local tax regulations, multi‑state filings, and complex returns. Strong communication with Partners and clients, mentoring staff, and managing engagements are essential for success.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in accounting (Required).
• CPA license (Required).
• Minimum 7 years of public accounting experience (Required).
• Experience with CCH Axcess Tax and tax research tools is preferred.
• Excellent client-facing communication and leadership abilities.

Responsibilities

• Proficiently prepare and review a wide range of tax returns including high-wealth individuals, fiduciaries, corporations, partnerships, and multistate filings.
• Lead tax engagements, supervise staff, and mentor junior team members.
• Provide high-quality tax planning, advisory, and compliance services to clients.
• Coordinate engagements, manage workflow, and communicate status to Partners.
• Serve as primary client interface and maintain strong client relationships.
