Job summary

EY in the US is seeking a Tax Accounting and Risk Senior to support ASC 740, the tax provision, and internal controls. You will work with senior leaders to advise on tax accounting for transactions and the ongoing provision while mentoring newer staff.

You’ll improve tax reporting processes, assess risk, and ensure compliance with Sarbanes‑Oxley 404. Travel 50%+ is expected; CPA or attorney status is preferred.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree required in Accounting or related field
• Typically 2–4 years of relevant tax or legal experience
• Progress toward or completion of CPA or licensed attorney status
• Broad understanding and experience with federal income taxation
• Experience with tax provisions and provision reconciliation
• Knowledge of ASC 740 and internal controls

Responsibilities

• Deliver tax provision processes and advisory services
• Enhance tax control environment and risk management
• Review and improve tax reporting, compliance, and accounting processes
• Coordinate with leaders and junior colleagues to meet objectives
• Define and execute deliverables and track project status
• Assist in identifying improvements to tax reporting and taxes management
