Job summary

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting or a closely related field.
• Minimum of 3 years of dedicated corporate tax preparation or public accounting experience.
• Strong understanding of GAAP, multi-entity accounting principles, and advanced Microsoft Excel capabilities.

Responsibilities

• Tax Compliance: Prepare and coordinate federal, state, and local tax returns, including income, personal property, and sales/use tax filings.
• Workpapers & Provisioning: Build accurate tax workpapers, supporting schedules, and ledger reconciliations; assist with quarterly and annual tax provision calculations.
• Audit & Advisory Support: Act as a key point of contact for external tax advisors and auditors, gathering documentation and responding to audit requests.
• Research & Strategy: Track changing federal, state, and local tax regulations, analyze the tax impact of business transactions, and present actionable findings to management.
• Account Reconciliation: Routinely reconcile tax-related general ledger accounts, investigate variances, and maintain immaculate multi-entity records.
• Process Improvement: Identify opportunities to improve internal tax controls, reporting workflows, and cross-departmental documentation.
