UHY International is seeking a Tax Senior Accountant in New York to lead the preparation and review of individual, corporate, and partnership returns for a diverse client base. You will oversee staff, liaise with partners, and deliver high-quality tax services across industries.

The role emphasizes proactive tax planning, client communication, and staying current with federal, state, and local tax laws, with opportunities for professional growth within a collaborative firm.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in accounting, finance, or related field.
• 3–6 years of relevant tax experience in a professional services environment.
• Experience with tax software: CCH Prosystem FX, Axcess Tax, Axcess Document, Axcess Workstream, Checkpoint for Tax Research.
• CPA or Enrolled Agent licensure or progress toward CPA/EA preferred.
• Experience serving clients and managing engagements.

Responsibilities

• Lead and manage a portfolio of tax engagements including planning, preparation, and review of various tax returns (individual, corporate, partnership, etc.).
• Serve as the primary point of contact for assigned clients, addressing tax inquiries, providing recommendations, and fostering strong client relationships.
• Collaborate with partners and managers to ensure seamless client service delivery and alignment with firm objectives.
