Job summary

Frederick Fox is seeking a Tax Supervisor or Tax Manager in Newark, NJ to focus on review and client management for closely held businesses, S-Corps, and C-Corps.

You will own client relationships, drive tax planning initiatives, and manage engagements from start to finish while mentoring staff. CPA firm experience and 5 years of tax accounting are required; CPA candidate status is expected. The firm offers very manageable hours and strong benefits.

Qualifications

• CPA candidate actively pursuing certification.
• Minimum 5 years in tax accounting with advanced tax knowledge.
• Public/CPA firm experience required.
• Experience reviewing tax returns.
• Strong project and people management for managerial level.

Responsibilities

• Review tax returns for Corporate, S-Corp, and C-Corp clients.
• Own client relationships and manage projects.
• Drive tax planning initiatives and interact with tax authorities.
• Manage engagements from engagement through billing.
• Support staff development.
• Support revenue growth by serving existing clients and bringing in new ones.

Key Responsibilities

• Review Tax returns for some combination of: Corporate, S-Corp, and C-Corps, High Net Worth Individuals, Trusts, Estates
• Own client relationships and projects
• Drive tax planning initiatives, and manage tax authority interactions
• Manage projects/relationships from engagement and execution to billing
• Support staff development
• Support revenue growth for the firm through existing clients, with the ability to reap rewards for bringing in new clients.

Requirements

• CPA candidate (at least pursuing)
• 5 years’ Tax Accounting, with advanced technical tax knowledge for some combination of the following: Corporate, S-Corp and C-Corp, High Net Worth Individuals, Trusts, Estates
• Public/CPA firm experience (must come directly from a public role)
• Experience doing review of returns
• Strong project and people management (for Manager level)
