Orion Placement is seeking a seasoned tax professional for an on-site role in Fort Wayne, IN, to prepare and review returns for individuals, partnerships, and corporations, with a focus on tax planning and client advisory work.

Candidates should have 5+ years of public accounting tax experience, CPA/EA preferred, and familiarity with UltraTax, CS Fixed Assets, and MS Office. On-site with potential hybrid progression, competitive compensation between $95k and $115k per year, plus benefits.

Qualifications

  • 5+ years of recent public accounting tax experience.
  • Experience with partnerships, corporations, pass-through entities, and high-net-worth individuals or families.
  • Strong tax research, analytical, organizational, and client communication skills.
  • Bachelor's degree in accounting, finance, or related field.
  • CPA, EA, or active progress toward professional certification preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Prepare and review federal, state, and local tax returns for individuals, partnerships, corporations, and pass-through entities.
  • Build trusted client relationships while helping clients navigate tax compliance and planning needs.
  • Identify tax planning opportunities and assist with strategies that create meaningful value for clients.
  • Research tax regulations and apply findings to client-specific situations.
  • Work with high-net-worth individuals and families as well as privately held businesses across multiple industries.
  • Collaborate closely with experienced tax professionals and other members of our accounting and advisory team.
  • Assist with complex tax projects while continuing to grow your technical and advisory skills.
  • Support and mentor less experienced team members as your responsibilities expand.

Pay: $95,000.00 - $115,000.00 per year

Location:

Fort Wayne, Indiana. This position is primarily on-site, giving you the opportunity to build strong relationships with our team and clients. We offer flexibility, and hybrid options may become available once you are established and have demonstrated strong performance.

Note:

Candidates should have 5+ years of recent public accounting tax experience. This is not currently a fully remote opportunity, so candidates should be able to work on-site in Fort Wayne initially.

  • Experience with partnerships, corporations, pass-through entities, and high-net-worth individuals or families
  • Strong tax research, analytical, organizational, and client communication skills
  • Bachelor's degree in accounting, finance, or a related field
  • CPA, EA, or active progress toward professional certification preferred
  • UltraTax, CS Fixed Assets, tax research software, and Microsoft Office experience preferred
