Job summary

GlobalFoundries in Austin, TX seeks a Principal Engineer of Tapeout and Mask Organization to drive process modernization and cloud-enabled tapeout workflows. You will work with a global team on business transformation projects related to EDA flows, cloud technology transformations, and industry best practices.

This role offers exposure to interactive design studio tools, KPI analytics, and support for tapeouts and fab start enablement, with opportunities to advance automation and AI/ML

Qualifications

• BS or higher in electrical/computer engineering or physics with relevant experience.
• Experience in Tapeout operations highly preferred.
• Proficient in Linux/Unix and EDA flows/automation.
• Ability to develop automation and KPI metrics using Python and cloud tools.

Responsibilities

• Enable scalable EDA functions in a Cloud environment.
• Continuously improve secure on-prem automation flows.
• Learn and apply AI/ML and AWS technologies to tapeout tools.
• Create data visualizations and KPI dashboards from EDA outputs.
• Support customer Tapeouts and Fab start enablement.
