Job summary

GlobalFoundries U.S. Inc. in Austin, TX invites new graduates to join as a Tapeout and Mask Operations engineer.

You will collaborate with global engineers and product owners on cloud-enabled tapeout workflows, using AI/ML and AWS services to modernize processes. You will build data visualizations, KPI dashboards, and automation tools to improve yield, efficiency, and quality across EDA and tapeout stages, while gaining end-to-end exposure to the customer tapeout lifecycle.

Qualifications

• Education – Bachelor's or master's in electrical and computer engineering, data science or related field.
• Must have at least an overall 3.5 GPA and proven good academic standing.
• Experience in building process improvement automations and KPI metrics using Python, Angular, Quicksight, and PowerApps on cloud platforms.
• Knowledge of relational and non-relational databases to process tapeout / EDA data.
• Familiarity with project life cycle and tools like ADO, JIRA, Bamboo, GIT, Jenkins.

Responsibilities

• Enable scalable, Electronic Design Automation (EDA) functions in a Cloud environment.
• Continuously learn and explore new technologies and trends in tapeout interactive tool/app development, including AI/ML technologies and AWS services.
• Create data visualizations, tools to view EDA tool outputs to bring process improvements and documentation.
• Data analytics on Tapeout processing KPIs, to drive optimized performance of Cloud Tapeout execution.
• Support customer Tapeouts, Mask manufacturing enablement, Fab Wafer start enablement.
