Harris County is seeking a Senior Project Manager, Technical Assistance & Projects to lead multi-week to multi-month initiatives across departments, ensuring timely execution and coordination with HR, IT, and Budget teams. The role emphasizes rigorous analysis, stakeholder engagement, and strong leadership to deliver equity-focused public policy projects.

You will manage 1–3 TAP projects, mentor staff, and work with Commissioners Court leadership to align with county priorities on justice,

Competenze

• Bachelor’s degree required; one year of relevant experience may substitute for each year of education.
• Minimum five (5) years of experience in project management, process improvement, strategic planning, and/or innovation.
• Minimum five (5) years of experience driving meaningful improvements or launching new projects and programs, tracking performance and addressing roadblocks.
• At least one (1) year of experience managing multiple direct reports.
• Experience leading and driving improvements or launching new projects and programs, tracking performance and addressing roadblocks.
• Demonstrated commitment to advancing equity, justice, diversity, and opportunity in operations and public policy design.

Mansioni

• Project Execution: Manage multi-week/multi-month processes from kickoff to sustainment for 1–3 TAP projects.
• Communication: Regularly update TAP Director, team, partner departments, and Commissioners Court staff on progress.
• Collaboration: Coordinate with HR, IT, Budget and other departments; build relationships with Commissioners Court staff and leadership.
• Research and Analysis: conduct benchmarking, policy/data analysis to inform project scope and plans.
