Job summary

Gap Inc. is seeking a Senior Manager, Talent for the Product-to-Market Transformation (IndigoX) in San Francisco. You will own the talent journey, designing end-to-end frameworks for assessment, calibration, and career pathing for P2M-impacted populations.

You will partner with HR, BPs, and enterprise talent teams to ensure scalable, equitable talent decisions across IndigoX, while managing external vendors and staying aligned with Gap Inc.'s talent methodologies.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Human Resources, Organizational Development, Industrial/Organizational Psychology, or a related field.
  • 5-7 years of experience in talent management, organizational development, or talent strategy, including designing competency models, career architecture, or talent assessment/calibration frameworks.
  • Proven experience building skills-based talent frameworks (taxonomy, assessment methodology, career pathing) at scale, ideally within a matrixed, multi-brand, or transformation environment.
  • Experience managing external vendor relationships for talent or learning technology platforms.

Responsibilities

  • Design and maintain the end-to-end talent assessment and selection framework for P2M-impacted populations.
  • Build a repeatable "org launch" playbook that applies consistent talent assessment and placement practices.
  • Define the skills taxonomy/ontology for P2M-impacted roles and align with enterprise frameworks.
  • Design and disseminate the end-to-end career pathing architecture for impacted employees.
  • Build and maintain calibration methodology aligned with enterprise talent review practices.
  • Design bench-readiness frameworks to identify succession candidates and development needs.
  • Incorporate dual-track and non-linear career models into the architecture.
  • Build fairness and bias-mitigation principles into assessment, calibration, and career pathing tools.
  • Own vendor relationships for skill development platforms and self-service experiences.
  • Partner with enterprise HR to ensure alignment with broader talent practices and escalate misalignments.
  • Train the Trainer sessions to prepare HR partners to execute with confidence.
  • Collaborate with IndigoX OCM to align communications and training with career opportunities.
  • Coordinate with IndigoX Learning & Development for early-career talent programs.
  • Work with Talent Acquisition to ensure frameworks inform hiring decisions and candidate evaluation.
  • Maintain understanding of HR operating models to navigate cross-functional work and partnerships.
  • Benchmark external market practices to refine IndigoX frameworks.
