Job summary
Avalara is hiring a Senior Recruiter to lead executive-level searches, partner with senior leaders, and deliver an exceptional candidate experience in a remote US role.
You will shape talent strategy, influence hiring decisions, and drive inclusive, data-informed searches with AI tools. This role collaborates with internal teams to ensure a unified leadership hiring process and confidentiality.
Qualifications
- 8+ years of recruiting experience in a global company or retained/executive search
- Deep understanding of leadership assessment & org structure
- Proven ability to influence and advise senior leaders in hiring decisions
- Strong interviewing, storytelling, and stakeholder management skills
Responsibilities
- Lead full-cycle searches across Sales, Marketing, Product, Finance, Engineering and Customer Ops
- Partner with C-level and senior leaders to define role requirements and hiring strategy
- Deliver a white-glove candidate experience from first conversation through close
- Conduct in-depth interviews to assess leadership capability and alignment with company culture
- Create polished, insight-driven candidate summaries for stakeholders
- Communicate market insights and search progress with clarity and confidence
- Leverage AI and automation to streamline outreach, scheduling, and documentation
