Job summary

FirstEnergy is seeking a Talent Acquisition Recruiter to provide full-cycle recruiting and consulting to hiring managers across designated business units. You will post roles, develop job postings, source candidates, and guide managers through the interview and offer process.

The role emphasizes diversity in candidate slates, collaboration with ERG groups, and compliance with employment laws. You will build networks, conduct pre-screenings, interviews, and extend offers while evolving sourcing

Qualifications

Bachelor's degree in HR, Business or related field with minimum 3 years relevant work experience.
Alternatively, 4 years of relevant work experience in Recruiting, Talent Acquisition, Talent Sourcing or HR.
Full-cycle recruiting experience for exempt, professional-level positions preferred.
Demonstrated capabilities for successfully sourcing diverse slates of candidates is preferred.
Experience using creative sourcing strategies and resume mining.
Strong organizational and follow up skills with a high level of attention to detail.
Outstanding negotiation and influencing skills.
Sound interviewing, organizational, public relations, negotiation and communication skills.
Familiarity with Applicant Tracking Systems. Experience with the SuccessFactors and/or Oracle ATS' preferred.
Excellent presentation skills to highlight FirstEnergy values, mission, strengths, and opportunities.
Broad knowledge of Employment Laws and HR Policies.
Strong project management skills and ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously.
Superior written and verbal communication skills.
Strong business acumen and analytical skills.
Possess strong team building skills and be a positive contributor in a team environment.

Responsibilities

Provide full-cycle recruiting and consulting to hiring managers.
Post positions on internal and external career sites and third-party boards.
Develop candidate sourcing strategies, including passive candidate sourcing and diversity sourcing.
Guide hiring managers through posting, screening, interviewing and offer processes.
Ensure compliance with state and federal employment laws and maintain requisition documentation.
Build networks with diverse industry professionals and organizations to attract candidates.
Lead relationships with HR stakeholders to understand open positions and skills requirements.
Participate in career fairs and recruiting events as needed.
