Job summary

Avion Solutions, Inc. seeks a Senior Test Manager to lead developmental and operational T&E activities for USAF programs, based near Wright-Patterson AFB in Dayton, OH.

You will craft TEMPs, test plans, and evaluation frameworks while coordinating with Government leads to ensure readiness and success. The role requires extensive DoD/T&E expertise, knowledge of avionics and aircraft systems, and the ability to manage risks and guide junior staff while maintaining security and safety standards.

Qualifications

• Master’s degree in a related field.
• 10+ years of relevant experience including DoW experience.
• Advanced T&E knowledge and ability to oversee personnel at multiple levels.
• Experience with development and execution of test methods for DoD programs.
• Ability to obtain DoW Tier 3 TS clearance as required.
• Knowledge of DoD systems engineering and test risk management.
• Experience with U.S. military aircraft and avionics integration.
• Strong technical writing, communication, and leadership skills.
• Must be a US Citizen and travel up to 25%.

Responsibilities

• Lead developmental and operational Test and Evaluation (T&E) activities for USAF programs from requirements development through planning, execution, data analysis, evaluation, and reporting.
• Develop integrated test strategies, TEMPs, test plans, evaluation frameworks, cost estimates, and test schedules in coordination with Government test leads.
• Assess program requirements for testability and operational relevance; define evaluation criteria and data requirements.
• Identify test infrastructure and resource requirements; coordinate with Government stakeholders.
• Coordinate test organizations, resources, and schedules with Government test leads; support IMS development.
• Assess test readiness and manage test execution risks, data, security, safety, and mission effectiveness.
• Analyze test data and prepare technical reports and recommendations for acquisition decisions.
• Support OFP development and testing, including requirements management and risk control.
• Provide technical guidance for avionics subsystem and weapons integration, aircraft operations, and system interfaces.
• Lead technical interchange meetings, ITTs, and program reviews; liaison with Air Force Test Center and stakeholders.
• Support Lead Developmental Test Organization duties per Air Force/DoD guidance.
• Support capability trade studies and capture lessons learned to improve methods.
• Provide guidance to junior personnel within the T&E discipline.
