Job summary

AVIAN, Inc. seeks a Senior Director to lead the Test & Evaluation | Flight Support (TFS) Sector. You will be accountable for performance, health, growth, and culture of a major naval program portfolio and multiple subcontracts supporting naval aviation and T&E customers.

The role requires building trusted senior relationships with government customers and industry partners, mentoring PMs and staff, and delivering disciplined growth while protecting delivery performance and customer confidence.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in business, management, finance, engineering or a related field.
• Active DoD Secret clearance with capability for Top Secret as needed.
• 10+ years in DoD/defense, aviation, or similar operational settings.
• 5+ years leading PMs, Team Leads, and professionals with accountability.
• Experience in test & evaluation, naval aviation, flight support or similar.DoD mission support.
• Government contracting background with complex programs, contracts, and risk.
• Strong financial and operational judgment with data-driven decisions.

Responsibilities

• Lead sector strategy, performance, health, and growth of AVIAN's TFS Sector.
• Own portfolio delivery, customer confidence, workforce continuity, and financials.
• Directly lead PMs, TLs, and sector personnel with clear expectations and plans.
• Establish a disciplined sector operating cadence and portfolio reviews.
• Maintain understanding of contracts, funding, backlog, personnel, and risks.
• Use data to manage sector economics; take corrective actions as needed.
• Partner with Finance, Contracts, HR, Talent, Security, and BD on forecasts.
