Job summary

Spectraforce Technologies is seeking a Senior Engineer V to serve as the primary contributor for transmission and distribution design in Pomona, CA. You will perform structural analyses using PLS-CADD tools and lead technical deliverables across projects.

This role requires a California Civil PE license and 7+ years of relevant experience, with hybrid work arrangement (2 days in office). You will mentor junior engineers and ensure QA/QC and safety standards are met.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's or Master's degree in civil/structural engineering required.
• California Civil PE License required.
• 7+ years of transmission/distribution line design experience.

Responsibilities

• Serve as a primary individual contributor for transmission and distribution design using PLS-CADD, PLS-Pole, and PLS-Caisson; act as go-to expert for modeling and engineering calculations.
• Execute detailed design work with a focus on technical accuracy, ensuring QA/QC, safety, and code compliance; not responsible for project management.
• Lead design and review of pole and foundation systems, owning calculations, models, and deliverables for new installations and assessments of existing infrastructure.
• Provide engineering support during construction, resolve field design issues, conduct site visits when needed, and support restoration efforts during emergencies.
• Maintain and refine engineering standards and specifications, collaborating with internal partners while focusing on technical execution.
• Act as a technical leader mentoring junior engineers and supporting development of team capabilities.
