A leading engineering firm is seeking a Senior Transmission Line Engineer for a hybrid role in Pomona, CA. Location: Pomona, CA (Hybrid - 2 days onsite)

Duration: 12-month contract

Pay Range: $95-$110/hr

Senior Transmission Line Engineer

Job Description

• Perform structural and overhead line design using PLS‑CADD, PLS‑Pole, and PLS‑Caisson, serving as a subject‑matter expert in modeling and analysis for both transmission and distribution systems.
• Ensure full compliance with quality, engineering standards, and safety requirements, including oversight of QA/QC procedures.
• Design and review pole foundations for new construction and evaluate existing structure foundations for reliability and safety.
• Support field and construction teams by resolving design‑related issues, performing field inspections, and assisting with emergency restoration efforts (wildfires, storms, severe weather events, etc.).
• Maintain and revise engineering design specifications, collaborating with cross‑functional teams to support internal and external stakeholders.
• Provide technical guidance, leadership, and mentorship to junior and mid‑level engineers within the transmission engineering group.

Required Qualifications

• Bachelor's or Master's degree in Civil or Structural Engineering.
• Active California Civil PE license (required).
• 7+ years of experience in transmission and/or distribution line engineering design.
