Job summary

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree or higher in Electrical Engineering or related field
• 2+ years of experience in substation engineering and design
• General knowledge of guides, standards, codes and methods for complex assignments
• Highly organized with excellent verbal/written communication and note-taking
• AutoCAD design experience for drawings

Responsibilities

• Develops preliminary scope of work and conducts pre-engineering job walks with stakeholders
• Create/approve/publish meeting minutes and design specification documents
• Order major equipment to meet material want dates
• Provide engineering and design support to the design team
• Mentor new engineers in Substation Projects group
• Review and approve Purchase Order Requests and change orders in Ariba
• Provide engineering support for field personnel and compliance requirements (NERC)
• Promote a safety-conscious work environment following Edison safety protocols
