Job summary

Rangam in Santa Monica, CA seeks a seasoned Analytical Technology Scientist to evaluate live-cell imaging and analysis platforms for QC applications. You will design and run experiments, compare platforms to current QC methods, and develop protocols for scalable, automated high-throughput QC workflows.

You will work independently in a technically oriented operations setting, partnering with automation, data science, and instrument vendors to meet regulatory expectations.

Qualifications

• PhD in cell biology, molecular biology, immunology, or related field (completed by start date).
• Hands-on cell imaging experience (fluorescence, confocal, imaging flow cytometry).
• Primary cell culture with aseptic technique.
• Independent work style with experimental design and stats understanding.
• Initiative and proactive communication on progress and deadlines.
• Experience with primary T cells a plus.
• GxP or cell therapy exposure preferred.

Responsibilities

• Evaluate new live-cell imaging and analysis platforms for potential QC use.
• Conduct hands-on experiments to address assay gaps.
• Set up, optimize, and troubleshoot in-vitro/ex-vivo experiments.
• Establish proper controls and parameters for assays.
• Work with primary T cells and imaging methods.
• Collaborate with SMEs and cross-functional partners.
• Operate in a BSL-2 laboratory.
