Job summary

AMD has an opening in Austin, TX (MET Center) for a systems-level technical leader who guides validation across architecture, silicon, firmware, software, and performance. You’ll influence global teams, drive tradeoffs, and ensure timely delivery of platform validation milestones.

You are expected to mentor engineers, lead cross-functional efforts, and communicate risks to senior leadership while advancing CPU/GPU platform validation and power-performance goals.

Qualifications

• Experience leading complex system development or post-silicon validation programs.
• Broad server architecture knowledge with depth in at least one area.
• Strong executive communication and decision-making under ambiguity.

Responsibilities

• Own platform validation strategy, execution, and delivery outcomes.
• Translate requirements into scalable validation plans.
• Lead alignment across architecture, hardware, firmware, BIOS, software.
• Drive post-silicon bring-up, system debug, and milestones.
• Define firmware requirements, debug tools, and validation environments.
• Prioritize defects and drive root-cause analysis and mitigation.
• Manage risks, resources, and schedule tradeoffs.
• Communicate program status to senior leadership.
• Mentor engineers and improve validation coverage.
