Job summary

Transdev Alternative Services in Atwater, CA is seeking a Senior Systems Test Engineer to evaluate systems and features and develop/test methods to ensure product quality and scalability. You will manage test programs, analyze results, and communicate findings while advancing new testing approaches across vehicle and system verification.

Required Bachelors/Masters in a technical field and 4+ years in systems testing, with hands-on scripting in C/C++, Python, and Matlab/Simulink.

Qualifications

• Bachelors/ Masters in a technical field (ME, EE, CS, Robotics, Controls, Aerospace).
• 4+ years of systems test experience.
• Experience with system engineering principles such as defining requirements and formal verification and validation methods.
• Test scripting understanding/execution for in-vehicle test automation (C/C++, Python, Matlab/Simulink).
• Demonstrated ability to interact with functional and technical counterparts to ensure system tests meet all required specifications.
• Demonstrated communication and project management skills.

Responsibilities

• Decompose system requirements and design test plans and verification strategies for product release.
• Improve the quality and coverage of system verification.
• Build processes to improve traceability, clarity, and organization.
• Develop new testing tools to increase repeatability and efficiency.
• Create test frameworks including simulation-based or hardware-in-the-loop methods.
• Identify missing or untestable requirements and gaps in design or implementation.
• Develop and improve processes to increase testing efficiency and reliability.
• Debug and resolve test-related failures and perform root-cause analysis.
• Communicate results and test status; build dashboards for stakeholders.
