Job summary

Connect Tech+Talent is seeking a senior software engineer specializing in systems software, networking, and robotics. You will design and implement services across Rust/C++/Java/Python/TypeScript, build messaging layers (MQTT, REST, WebSockets), and ensure secure, scalable deployments.

The role involves Docker-based packaging and cloud deployments (Azure/AWS), plus extensive collaboration with hardware, QA, and product teams. Domestic/international travel may be required.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree or equivalent in CS/SE/CE.
• 5-7 years of professional software development experience.
• Strong programming skills in Rust, C++, Java, Python, or TypeScript.
• Experience with MQTT, RabbitMQ, REST APIs, or WebSockets.
• Hands-on experience developing and running applications in Docker.
• Good understanding of OS concepts and networking.

Responsibilities

• Design, develop, and maintain software in Rust, C++, Java, Python, or TypeScript.
• Build services and integrations using MQTT, RabbitMQ, REST, and WebSockets.
• Make architecture and design decisions balancing performance, reliability, security, and maintainability.
• Write unit and integration tests and debug complex issues across application, OS, and network layers.
• Design and support network communication between software, devices, cloud services, and customer systems.
• Configure firewall rules and network settings and troubleshoot blocked ports, latency, and TLS issues.
• Package, run, and troubleshoot applications in Docker and deploy on Azure or AWS as needed.
• Set up and maintain GitHub/GitHub Actions pipelines, automate tests, and integrate security scans.
