Job summary

SNC is seeking a Systems Security Engineer III to lead the design, implementation, and maintenance of secure IT systems and to manage high-level incident response and digital forensics. The role requires DoD RMF, NIST, and STIGs familiarity and active IAT Level III certification or the ability to obtain it within 6 months.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Systems Security, Network Engineering, IT, or related field.
• 5+ years in IT security; 9+ years if no degree.
• IAT Level III cert (CISSP, CASP, GCIH, etc.) or ability to obtain within 6 months.
• Experience in application security testing (SAST/DAST/SCA).
• Knowledge of DoD RMF, STIGs, NIST publications and NSA guides.

Responsibilities

• Interact with customers, team members, contractors, and government officials to achieve IS security objectives.
• Serve as a subject matter expert in Information Systems Security and guide design, integration, or upgrade of software and information systems.
• Develop or review Assessment & Authorization documentation based on RMF and DoD regulations.
• Perform security control assessments to ensure RMF and military regulation compliance.
• Participate in continuous monitoring activities such as vulnerability management and incident response in eMASS or XACTA.
• Evaluate work products of other IS security team members during design, integration, or upgrades.
