Job summary

Qualifications

• Two years of industry experience or six years in lieu of a degree.
• Experience assisting other programmers on projects.

• Proven communication skills in a large corporate IT environment.
• Advanced knowledge of mainframe, minicomputer and networking environments.

• Installs, tests, debugs, customizes and tunes more complex operating system and utility packages.
• Develops, prioritizes and executes projects according to established schedules and timeframes.
• Follows and enforces technical and documentation standardso Demonstrates in-depth knowledge and techniques in supporting other systems and application programmers in projects and complex problem solving efforts.
• Ensures safe care to patients, staff and visitors; adheres to all Memorial Hermann policies, procedures, and standards within budgetary specifications including time management, supply management, productivity and quality of service.
• Promotes individual professional growth and development by meeting requirements for mandatory/continuing education, skills competency, supports department-based goals which contribute to the success of the organization; serves as preceptor, mentor, and resource to less experienced staff.
