Job summary

Synechron seeks a Senior Systems Operations Developer to manage and optimize production messaging infrastructure. The role focuses on Linux administration, SMTP routing, and security controls including SPF/DKIM/DMARC, with involvement in incident response and automation.

Responsibilities include monitoring, upgrades, and collaboration across security, network, and engineering teams to ensure reliable email delivery and compliant operations.

Qualifications

• Several years of experience in systems operations or production support.
• Hands-on Linux administration and scripting experience is a plus.
• Strong understanding of email technologies (SMTP, DNS/MX, SPF, DKIM, DMARC).
• Experience with messaging-security platforms such as Proofpoint and Cloudmark.

Responsibilities

• Manage and support messaging and email infrastructure in production environments.
• Perform day-to-day product operations: monitoring, incident response, service validation.
• Administer Linux-based systems and services.
• Configure and troubleshoot Proofpoint and Cloudmark solutions.
• Design and maintain SMTP routing, relays, and mail-flow configurations.
• Investigate and resolve production incidents using root-cause analysis.
• Develop scripts to improve automation and efficiency.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams on complex issues.
