Job summary

Wyetech, LLC is seeking a seasoned Systems/Network Engineer Level 3 to support the TTO-002 KMI mission at Fort Meade. The candidate will bring 20+ years of hands-on experience in network architecture, security, hardening, and secure communications within DoD/IC environments.

Responsibilities include architecture design, integration, testing, SSP development, and lifecycle support, with expertise in Cisco, Palo Alto, HAIPE, and network analysis tools like Wireshark and Tripwire.

Qualifications

• Twenty (20) years of experience as a Systems Engineer.
• Demonstrated experience planning and leading Systems Engineering efforts.
• Extensive hands-on system and network engineering experience in DoD/IC environments.
• Network security and hardening experience in DoD environments.
• Knowledge of Cisco switches/routers/firewalls, including Cisco 9300 Series.
• Experience with Palo Alto, HAIPE, and other security appliances.
• Expertise with Network as a Service architectures.
• Ability to design rack configurations and network diagrams.
• Experience with network troubleshooting and analysis.
• Experience with Wireshark, Tripwire, and packet tools.
• Supporting SSP development.
• Experience with Visio, PowerPoint, Excel.
• Physical network construction experience on SERD for SCS/ESB.
• Tamper and concealment team support for secure networks.
• HAIPE MTU assessments and reviews.
• Fiber installation/removal.
• JIRA and Confluence usage.
• Team and individual contributor work style.

Responsibilities

• Evaluate network message-receiving functions and communications.
• Assess ACKs/NACKs to identify issues.
• Understand system and network functions.
• Develop rack drawings and configurations.
• Ensure correct network configurations across components.
• Review firewall traffic with packet-analysis tools and Wireshark.
• Isolate connectivity issues and determine fault origin.
• Diagnose and resolve network, routing, firewall, and hardware issues.
• Analyze user requirements and develop system requirements.
