Job summary

V Group Inc. is seeking an Advanced-Level Systems Administrator to support enterprise server administration, troubleshooting, maintenance, and performance optimization for FLVS.

The consultant will manage day-to-day operations, coordinate with teams, vendors, and stakeholders, and ensure high availability of server environments. The position is 100% remote within the USA, 40 hours per week, Monday through Friday, with EST business hours, for a 12-month contract.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in CS/IS or related field (or equivalent experience).
• Nutanix Certified Professional - Multi-cloud Infrastructure (NCP-MCI).
• Minimum 5 years of IT experience supporting enterprise-class systems.
• 5-7 years maintaining routers, switches, and wireless devices.
• Experience deploying and maintaining Microsoft Windows Server environments (2016-2022).
• Experience deploying and maintaining Linux operating systems, preferably RHEL 8
• Experience supporting and maintaining Microsoft SQL Server
• Experience supporting and maintaining MySQL databases
• Strong interpersonal, communication, analytical, troubleshooting, and customer service skills

Responsibilities

• Administer enterprise server systems through proactive monitoring, physical inspections, application log reviews, and system console management.
• Research warnings, errors, and system issues to determine root causes and implement corrective actions.
• Document, test, review, and implement technical solutions following best practices and change control processes.
• Respond to incidents and service requests through the problem management system.
• Coordinate support and repair activities with hardware/software vendors and on-site personnel.
• Implement new server systems according to approved plans and enterprise standards.
• Provide mentoring and technical guidance to junior technicians and team members.
• Create and maintain technical documentation and operational procedures.
• Develop recommendations that improve support services and operational efficiency.
• Build and maintain effective working relationships across departments.
• Design and plan infrastructure implementations based on customer requirements, industry best practices, and vendor recommendations.
• Provide bi-weekly project status reports and updates.
• Meet project deadlines, coordinate resources, and maintain professional work standards.
