Job summary

Teledyne Technologies Incorporated is seeking a Systems / Mechanical Engineer to provide technical leadership across the evaluation, definition, design, manufacture, and verification of complex mechanical systems for both commercial and Government customers. You will apply MBSE to capture and manage requirements, define architectures, and maintain end-to-end traceability throughout the product lifecycle.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in an accredited engineering discipline (Mechanical Engineering, Systems Engineering, or related field)
• 5–12 years of relevant experience in systems engineering and/or mechanical engineering
• Experience developing and managing verification and validation requirements, including TADI (Test, Analysis, Demonstration, and Inspection) methods
• Experience preparing and reviewing design specifications and procurement specifications
• Ability to obtain a U.S. Security Clearance
• Experience with ASME codes and/or NQA‑1 quality programs is a strong plus, but not a requirement
• Active Professional Engineer (PE) license (plus)
• Experience using MBSE tools such as Cameo Systems Modeler (plus)
• Experience with software/control system/Programmable Logic Controller (PLC) requirement development and/or design (plus)

Responsibilities

• Lead systems engineering and mechanical design activities for complex hardware programs
• Perform thermal and structural analyses and engineering trade studies
• Manage system/subsystem requirements and traceability
• Collaborate with manufacturing and quality organizations across lifecycle
• Develop verification and validation plans (TADI) and associated documentation
• Prepare design and procurement specifications and brief stakeholders
• Conduct system requirements reviews, design reviews, and manufacturing readiness reviews
• Communicate technical concepts and program status to diverse audiences
