Job summary

Sandvik in Alachua, Florida, is seeking a Systems Integration and Testing Manager to lead a multi-disciplinary team responsible for the integration of mechanical, electrical, hydraulic and software subsystems on rotary drill rigs. The role emphasizes end-to-end product validation, development of test plans, and field-testing support, with travel as needed to deploy and validate equipment.

Qualifications

• 8+ years in product development, system integration and testing of electro-mechanical systems
• 3+ years in leadership managing engineers or technical projects
• Mining equipment or heavy machinery experience preferred
• Strong understanding of hardware/software integration incl. PLCs, CAN bus and hydraulics/electrical systems
• Ability to read engineering drawings, electrical schematics and software logic
• Excellent problem solving and root-cause analysis skills
• Solid project management and delivery focus
• Strong leadership and cross-functional communication across departments

Responsibilities

• Lead the systems integration of mechanical, electrical and software subsystems for rotary drill products
• Develop and oversee system-level test strategies, plans and procedures for validation
• Manage and mentor a team of engineers to meet milestones and release deadlines
• Oversee root-cause analysis and drive timely resolutions across domains
• Ensure safety and quality standards including ISO 9001/45001 compliance
• Collaborate with design, R&D, software and product management throughout development
• Promote test automation, simulation and Hardware-in-the-Loop testing to improve coverage
