Job summary

Northrop Grumman is seeking a System Engineering Integration (SEI) Lead Level 5 for the Central Engineering team in Huntsville, AL. You will lead software integration for formal test events, define data requirements, and translate mission needs into model-based architecture artifacts.

Required MBSE experience, SysML/UAF proficiency, and 5+ or more years leading Integrated Product Teams in aerospace or defense contexts. This role includes travel and a competitive benefits package.

Qualifications

• BS in a STEM field with 12+ years of military/professional experience, or MS with 10+ years, or PhD with 8+ years.
• Experience applying MBSE on aerospace/defense/advanced tech efforts.
• Experience with SysML and UAF.

Responsibilities

• Define and document instrumentation, data requirements, and test planning to satisfy objectives.
• Create, validate, and verify test plans, procedures, and reports per standards.
• Lead the engineering team that supports software integration for formal test events.
• Provide status updates and remove blockers to leadership.
• Translate mission needs into model-based architecture artifacts.
• Apply MBSE processes to software ensuring traceability across system architecture.
• Develop and maintain MBSE architecture products for advanced campaigns.
• Apply SysML and UAF to capture system structure, behavior, and interfaces.
• Decompose problems into actionable engineering tasks.
• Collaborate with systems, software, and mission teams to align models with direction.
• Contribute to modeling methods, architecture standards, and digital engineering practices.
