Job summary

Astrion seeks a Senior Systems & Flight Test Engineer to support the E-3 AWACS program at Patrick SFB, FL. You will lead end-to-end system design, integration, and flight testing across laboratories and in-flight aboard DoW aircraft.

The role requires a Master’s in a technical field and at least 10 years of relevant experience, with active Secret clearance and ability to obtain Top Secret. Travel up to 20% (35% surge) and US citizenship are required.

Qualifications

• Master's degree in a technical field with 10+ years of relevant experience.
• Active Secret clearance with ability to obtain Top Secret clearance.
• U.S. citizenship is required.
• Aircraft platform experience with E-3 AWACS.
• FAA Class 3 Medical Certificate or military flight physical equivalent.
• Willingness to perform in-flight duties aboard DoW aircraft.
• Willingness to travel up to 20% per year (surge to 35%).
• Experience authoring verification procedures and test documentation.

Responsibilities

• End-to-End Systems Engineering & Requirements Architecture.
• Requirements traceability and verification planning.
• Translate high-level capabilities into system requirements with multi-disciplinary teams.
• Lead technical design reviews for hardware and software.
• Author test procedures and validate system requirements in flight and lab.
• Support customer engagements and technical proposals.
