Job summary

NextGen Federal Systems seeks a Senior Engineering Manager / Analyst to support the DHS TARS program in Washington, DC. The role provides senior engineering leadership, analysis, and system integration oversight to ensure readiness and performance improvements.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in engineering, systems engineering, or closely related discipline.
• Master’s degree preferred.
• PMI PMP certification preferred.
• 15+ years of experience in systems engineering and integration best practices.
• Experience with aerostat systems, radar, ISR platforms, or related defense technologies.
• Proficiency with engineering tools, documentation, and modeling/simulation.

Responsibilities

• Provide expert engineering oversight for systems integration and technical operations related to TARS.
• Review system requirements, specifications, and engineering documentation.
• Develop and maintain technical project schedules and support milestone reviews.
• Lead troubleshooting and root cause analysis with field teams.
• Coordinate engineering support for logistics, sustainment, and modernization efforts.
• Support configuration management and verification of design changes.
• Prepare engineering reports, data packages, and briefings for stakeholders.
• Ensure compliance with DHS/CBP, DoD, and industry standards.
