Job summary

NextGen Federal Systems seeks a Senior Engineering Manager/Analyst to lead engineering and analytical support for the TARS program with our DHS customer in Washington, DC. The role oversees systems integration, project coordination, and readiness across engineering teams.

The candidate should bring extensive systems engineering experience, project leadership, and the ability to translate complex data into actionable plans, while complying with defense standards. Travel is required.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in engineering, systems engineering, or closely related discipline.
• Master’s degree preferred.
• PMI Project Management Professional (PMP) certification preferred.
• Minimum 15 years of experience in systems engineering and integration.
• Ability to analyze complex technical data and translate into actionable plans.
• Strong project management and coordination skills.

Responsibilities

• Provide expert engineering oversight for systems integration and technical operations for TARS.
• Review and analyze system requirements, technical specifications, and engineering documentation.
• Develop and maintain technical project schedules and support milestone reviews.
• Lead troubleshooting and root cause analysis with field teams.
• Coordinate engineering support for logistics, sustainment, and modernization efforts.
• Support configuration management and verification of system design changes.
• Prepare engineering reports, data packages, and briefings for stakeholders.
• Ensure compliance with DHS/CBP, DoD, and industry standards.
