Job summary

Northrop Grumman Mission Systems seeks an Engineering Manager to lead the Maritime Systems & Integration (MS&I) E&S organization and serve as the Charlottesville E&S Site Lead in Charlottesville, VA. This role reports to the Naval Systems Engineering Director and oversees hardware & software development, production support and shipboard integration & test for Navy and USCG fleets.

Qualifications

Bachelor's degree with 8+ years, or Master's with 6+, or PhD with 4+ years in STEM.
U.S. Citizen with active Government Secret Clearance.
3+ years defending or aerospace industries.
2+ years leading technical teams.
2+ years in a technical role.
Proven collaboration and teamwork.
Strong engineering background with requirements, design and production execution.

Responsibilities

Lead development and implementation of program technical roadmap strategy.
Staff across multiple business areas and enable resource sharing.
Lead strategic actions to improve engineering business.
Drive engineering strategy and practices for MS&I E&S, including investments and talent strategy.
Drive talent development and workforce planning.
Elevate engineering rigor and processes.
Ensure predictable financial and program results.
Prioritize engineering investments aligned with strategic imperatives.
Demonstrate thought leadership on digital transformation.
Travel up to 25% to support distributed teams.
