Job summary

Ford Motor Company seeks a seasoned Systems Engineering Leader to head product development engineering for new vehicle lines within the SET zone. You will oversee teams across cooling, climate, under-hood modules, and sensors to drive cost and weight reductions while ensuring on-time program milestones.

Strong CAD experience with CATIA V5 or 3DEXPERIENCE is required. You will collaborate with Program Chief Engineering, Vehicle Engineering, and external partners, champion trade-off decisions, and

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in engineering required.
• At least 5 years in one or more vehicle systems: cooling, climate, under-hood modules or sensors, or air induction.
• Experience in Design and Release Engineering, Systems Engineering, or Vehicle Engineering preferred.
• Ability to retrieve and work with CAD models in CATIA V5 or 3DEXPERIENCE.

Responsibilities

• Lead cross-functional teams to optimize cost, weight, quality, labor, and service efficiency.
• Manage SET zone and drive system optimization and part reductions.
• Develop relationships with suppliers and assess their technical capabilities.
• Lead trade-off discussions and provide data-driven recommendations to leadership.
• Collaborate on packaging, weight, cost, labor, timing, and integration from a systems view.
