Job summary

BrightSpring Health Services seeks a System Engineer to act as a top contributor and technical expert across Windows, Linux/Unix, and virtualization. You will manage server administration, Active Directory, SQL IIS, and ensure secure, integrated enterprise systems.

Qualifications

• College Graduate or equivalent work experience; BS in Computer Science preferred.
• Minimum four years of experience in Windows Server variants; two years of Active Directory; MS SQL 2014/2016/2017, MS IIS; two years of VMware ESXi in an SMB enterprise; experience in AIX, Linux, and Unix environments is preferred.
• Experience with load balancing technology (F5/Netscaler); disaster recovery experience desired.
• Troubleshooting OS, hardware, and software; strong TCP/IP fundamentals including DNS and DHCP.
• Proficiency in MS Office applications; documentation under ITIL standards.
• Experience with disaster recovery planning and replication software; Service-Now is a plus.
• Familiarity with MCSE, VCP; strong communication and teamwork skills.

Responsibilities

• Performs server administration tasks including group policies, print services, event log monitoring, and resource management to ensure components work together seamlessly.
• Handles first level on-call rotation for Systems Engineering team.
• Documents configurations, procedures, and change management records.
• Works with vendors for support calls and maintenance.
• Monitors datacenter health and responds to hardware issues; builds and maintains new servers as needed.
• Manages system patching processes and DR planning.
• Mentors and cross-trains fellow System Administrators; provides end-user support.
• Adheres to ITIL framework for incident and change management.
• Generates and maintains disaster recovery documentation and knowledge of new technologies.
