Job summary

ARKA is seeking a Staff Systems Engineer (TS/SCI with CI Poly) in Ypsilanti, MI to lead complex software delivery for national-security systems. You will coordinate with diverse teams to ensure requirements are defined, traced, and verified, and to drive mission-capable software releases.

Qualifications

• Active TS/SCI with CI Poly clearance.
• Bachelor’s degree in computer science, systems engineering, IT, or related field.
• 5+ years in software development or systems engineering.
• Strong cross‑functional communication in small teams.
• Ability to develop requirements and traceability.
• Experience with Scrum/Agile methodologies.
• Current IAT Level II or III certification.

Responsibilities

• Provide technical direction and requirement transparency across development teams.
• Manage requirements including traceability, coverage, and verification.
• Develop test procedures to verify system requirements for sell-off events.
• Decompose system requirements and collaborate across distributed teams.
• Support development, implementation, and verification of mission capabilities.
• Participate in program milestones and government testing events.
• Conduct testing and generate test documentation.
• Support operations of software with enterprise test events and onboarding.
