Job summary

GDIT is seeking a Systems Engineer Senior to deliver simple solutions to complex problems and tailor cutting‑edge server and application architectures for government clients. You will manage server hardware/software operations, security, and configuration baselines while guiding junior engineers.

You will stay current on OS/software trends, contribute to incident response, and help define future projects. Strong communication and leadership are essential for success in this role.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of related experience.
• Experience with server virtualization (VMWare and/or Microsoft Hyper-V).
• Experience with OpentText Livelink and Microsoft SharePoint 2010.
• ITIL v3 Foundation certification preferred.
• Strong knowledge of Active Directory and Windows Server platforms.
• Excellent communication and leadership to engineers.

Responsibilities

• Deliver simple solutions to complex problems as a Systems Engineer Senior.
• Design server and application architectures and maintain security.
• Provide technical guidance and leadership to engineers with less experience.
• Develop and modify software programs to enhance operating systems.
