Job summary

Legato, LLC is seeking a Systems Engineer in Annapolis Junction, MD, with TS/SCI w/ Polygraph clearance. The role leads the full system engineering lifecycle for complex hardware and software, translating operational needs into verifiable requirements and architectures.

You will drive integration, testing, and documentation while coordinating across engineering teams, with a strong focus on lifecycle management from development to operations.

Qualifications

• 14 years of Systems Engineer experience on programs of similar scope and complexity.
• Bachelor's degree in a technical discipline or related field.
• Additional 5 years of Systems Engineering experience may substitute for a degree.
• Experience with deriving lower-level requirements from higher-level requirements.
• Experience with system architecture and design, and with integration/testing.

Responsibilities

• Provide technical leadership across the system engineering lifecycle for hardware and software systems.
• Translate operational needs into well-defined system requirements and interfaces.
• Develop system architectures, derive requirements, and guide integration and implementation activities.
• Support design reviews, test activities, configuration management, risk assessment, and cross-functional coordination.
• Maintain technical integrity of baselines as systems move from development to deployment and maintenance.
