Job summary

ACT1 Federal LLC is seeking an experienced Systems Engineer to provide requirements analysis, architecture, interface, systems integration, verification, and planning in support of defense programs.

The position requires a Top Secret clearance, day shift, full-time in-office work at the Pentagon in Arlington, VA, with occasional travel as needed. You will develop models, matrices, and traces to support senior leadership decisions and industrial-base analyses.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree from an accredited institution in a related discipline.
• 10+ years’ experience in systems engineering, management analysis, or defense analysis.
• Demonstrated ability to develop and manage requirements and communicate technical findings.
• Experience integrating information from multiple disciplines into defensible recommendations.
• Knowledge of systems engineering methods, risk management, and lifecycle analysis.
• Experience presenting analytical products to senior leaders and stakeholders.
• Proficient with Excel, PowerPoint, Word and collaboration tools.
• Active Top Secret Clearance required.

Responsibilities

• Apply systems engineering principles to defense programs, including production capacity, suppliers, shipyards, infrastructure, and workforce.
• Elicit, analyze, document, validate, and maintain mission, functional, performance, and interface requirements.
• Decompose complex problems and identify dependencies, constraints, and measures of effectiveness.
• Develop matrices, system models, architectures, workflows, use cases, roadmaps and traceability products.
• Evaluate solutions for feasibility, cost, risk, and interoperability.
