Job summary

JT4, LLC in Colorado Springs seeks an experienced Engineer IV to serve as a technical adviser for a broad program involving development, budgeting, scheduling, and integration of software, electronic, and mechanical systems.

The role includes supervising engineers, defining test objectives, drafting planning documents, tracking expenditures, and coordinating with internal/external customers to ensure requirements are met and designs are compliant.

Qualifications

• ABET-accredited B.S. in engineering with 8+ years experience.
• Accredited M.S. in engineering with 6+ years experience.
• Accredited Ph.D. in engineering with 4+ years experience.

Responsibilities

• Perform in a supervisor role for engineers involved in development, testing, integration, and sustainment of diverse systems.
• Determine test objectives, instrumentation, and data requirements.
• Write test planning documents, schedule program activities, track funding and expenditures, plan tests and analyze data.
• Direct interface with internal and external customers from quotation to final design.
• Act as liaison for test activities, design reviews, and technical working groups.
• Generate complete design specifications for more complex projects.
• Coordinate with engineering, logistics, finance, and program management to define system specs.
• Verify and comply with engineering documentation standards and test procedures.
• Prepare, deliver, and submit technical papers and engineering studies.
• Support development of technical proposals and assess scope of work.
