Job summary

JT4, LLC is seeking an Engineer IV in Colorado Springs to lead integration and sustainment of diverse software, electronic, and mechanical systems. You will supervise engineers, plan tests, manage budgets, and interface with customers from quoting to design, ensuring compliance with standards and delivering technical papers and proposals.

Requires a BS in Engineering (ABET-accredited) with 8+ years of related experience, or MS with 6+ years, or PhD with 4+ years.

• Ability to apply the latest developments in engineering to solve complex problems.
• Working knowledge of computer systems and engineering tools.

Responsibilities

• Supervise engineers in development, testing, integration, and sustainment of equipment and systems.
• Determine test objectives, instrumentation, and data requirements.
• Write test plans, schedule activities, track funding, conduct tests, analyze data, and document results.
• Interface with customers from quotation to final design.
• Act as liaison for test activities and reviews to meet requirements.
• Generate design specifications for complex projects.
• Coordinate with engineering, logistics, finance, and program management to define specs.
• Verify compliance with engineering standards and test procedures.
• Prepare technical papers and engineering studies.
• Support technical proposals and assess scope and effort.
• Serve as a company/industry expert on complex engineering problems.
• Maintain project responsibility and report progress to management.
• Conduct site visits and investigations, propose solutions and alternatives.
• Develop and implement engineering policies and procedures.
• Perform other job-related duties as required.
