Job summary

SAIC seeks a highly experienced Senior Systems Engineer to support the US Space Force, Space Systems Command, in maintaining and sustaining ground-based radar systems. The role focuses on planning, development and delivery of hardware/software modifications in response to engineering change requests and system deficiency reports.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's Degree with 5+ years' related experience; additional 4 years accepted in lieu of degree.
• Active Secret Clearance required; experience in DoD or defense programs preferred.
• Experience across hardware/software systems, COTS/GOTS, or specialty engineering.
• Experience with configuration and data management, testing & evaluation of classified systems.
• Expertise in at least one engineering field: software, hardware, network, cybersecurity, test, or systems.

Responsibilities

• Translate customer/operational requirements into system hardware/software specifications.
• Lead large Agile or DevSecOps teams/projects, including cost estimating, risk management, and scheduling.
• Design, develop, deliver, and deploy engineered solutions following DoD lifecycle processes.
• Support delivery of new capabilities to UEWR operational sites.
• Ensure solutions meet constraints and integrate with existing architecture.
