Job summary

Actalent is seeking a Principal Systems Engineer to support advanced space systems and mission payloads in the C4ISR sector. You will work as an individual contributor within a multidisciplinary team, contributing across the full systems engineering lifecycle, including requirements, modeling, IV&V, and environmental testing.

The role requires an active clearance, with Top Secret considered, and a strong background in space hardware and MBSE.

Qualifications

• 8+ years in systems engineering across the development lifecycle or 6+ with a Master’s or 4+ with a PhD.
• Experience with requirements analysis, decomposition, derivation, and allocation.
• Experience with IV&V, environmental testing, and hardware integration.

Responsibilities

• Perform systems engineering activities across full product lifecycle.
• Conduct system modeling, architecture design, and development.
• Handle IV&V and environmental testing.
• Support hardware integration and test equipment activities.
• Collaborate with Systems, Electrical, RF, Software, Mechanical, and Test Engineering.
• Support development, integration, troubleshooting, and verification of space payloads.
• Participate in technical reviews and customer-facing activities.
• Manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.
