Job summary

Amentum is seeking a senior systems engineer to support the Space Launch System Upper Stage Office. You will lead systems engineering, requirements management, and V&V coordination with cross-disciplinary teams.

Responsibilities include interface integration, trades, risk assessment, and lifecycle verification. The role requires US citizenship and STAR ID, with travel to NASA centers as needed.

Qualifications

• A degree in Engineering or related field with a minimum of 10 years of aerospace industry experience.
• Degree from an ABET-accredited university is preferred.
• Must be a US Citizen and have a STAR ID.

Responsibilities

• Provide systems engineering and interface integration support for SLS Upper Stage design, development, and operations.
• Develop, assess, and integrate operational requirements across all lifecycle phases including manufacturing, transportation, receiving inspection, ground processing, stacking, ITCO, launch preparation, and mission support.
• Coordinate with NASA Centers, contractors, payload customers, and ground systems organizations to define and implement operational concepts, requirements, and integration strategies.
• Document and control the integrated architecture through interface requirement documents, interface control documents, functional schematics, verification artifacts, technical reports, and briefing packages.
• Identify, communicate, and manage technical and operational risks through the NASA Risk Management System.
