Job summary

The Structures Company is seeking a highly qualified Systems Engineer 5 for a contract role in Seal Beach, CA. The position requires an active Top Secret clearance and extensive experience in space/ground systems engineering, verification, and test.

Qualifications

• Active Top Secret clearance required to start.
• U.S. Person as defined by ITAR.
• Bachelor of Science degree in Engineering or related field.
• Typically, 14+ years of related work experience.
• Experience leading verification, validation, integration, and test for space/ground systems.
• Experience with space systems and multi-discipline teams.
• Experience with Ops Product architecture, design, development, and test.
• Experience with software requirements verification testing.
• Experience with scripting languages including Python, Tcl, and Tk.
• Experience with Configuration Management tools and SAFe processes.

Responsibilities

• Leads ground and system level verification, validation, integration, and test for space-based systems.
• Leads planning and implementation of requirements management, risk, issues, and technology readiness assessments.
• Applies an interdisciplinary approach to plan, design, and develop system and subsystem requirements.
• Develops and executes test plans, procedures, and verification reports for system validation.
• Resolves cross-functional technical issues across system integration and architecture.
• Evaluates customer and operational needs to define system performance requirements.
• Writes requirements and ICDs for ground systems and supports ConOps development.
• Develops ground segment operational products in support of space-based systems.
• Supports complex system level threads required to run missions in space using scaled agile and model-based systems engineering.
