Actalent is seeking a Senior Systems Engineer for sensor systems in Greenwood Village, CO. The role emphasizes hands-on development, testing, and analysis across environmental, motion, and IR sensors, with focus on analog front ends and embedded systems.

You will interpret results, perform data-driven evaluations, and deliver recommendations to the engineering team. On-site work with standard engineering schedules is expected for a 9-month to contract-to-hire engagement.

Qualifications

• Strong background in analog front ends and sensor interfacing.
• Hands-on experience with I2C, SPI, and UART.
• Proficiency with lab instrumentation (oscilloscopes, DAQs, analyzers).
• Experience with embedded systems and firmware integration.
• Experience with environmental and reliability testing.
• Experience designing controlled experiments and data interpretation.
• Strong statistical data analysis skills.
• Proficiency in Python, MATLAB, NumPy, and Pandas.
• Sensor signal processing including filtering and calibration.
• Sensor fusion algorithm validation in multi-sensor systems.
• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in a relevant field.
• 10+ years of hands-on sensor systems experience.

Responsibilities

• Develop and execute tests for environmental, motion, and IR sensors.
• Configure analog front-end circuits and sensor interfacing.
• Use I2C, SPI, UART to evaluate end-to-end system behavior.
• Operate lab equipment (oscilloscopes, DAQs, analyzers).
• Analyze test data to identify trends and root causes.
• Validate sensor fusion algorithms with multi-sensor data.
• Collaborate with firmware and hardware engineers on integration.
• Document test plans, results, and conclusions.
• Support environmental and reliability testing of precision electronics.
• Provide actionable design recommendations.
