Job summary

Salesforce, Inc. is seeking a highly skilled Linux/Cloud Engineer for an on-site role in Herndon, VA. You will join a team supporting U.S. National Security customers, building scalable infrastructure and automated governance in cloud environments.

You will own areas with autonomy, drive progress, and collaborate across Salesforce teams to improve CI/CD pipelines and security posture. This role requires TS/SCI clearance with polygraph and U.S. citizenship.

Qualifications

• 4+ years Linux engineering experience.
• 3+ years maintaining, building, or patching highly sensitive customer data and environments.
• 3+ years deploying with a CI orchestration service such as Jenkins or Spinnaker.
• 3+ years working with AWS.
• 2+ years scripting in Shell, Perl, Python, Ruby, JavaScript, or Go.
• 2+ years deploying distributed applications with containers (Docker) and orchestration (Kubernetes, EKS).
• U.S. citizen; TS/SCI with Polygraph; willing to undergo a Moderate Public Trust background investigation.

Responsibilities

• Own your areas with autonomy and drive progress.
• Translate constraints into guardrails for rapid, self-service feedback on service security and efficacy.
• Solve infrastructure problems with code and scale compute capacity.
• Automate governance to replace manual, people-heavy processes.
• Advance CI/CD governance with partner teams while maintaining feature velocity.
• Collaborate with infrastructure teams across Salesforce.
• Evaluate new technologies as needed.
• Contribute to design of test and deploy services.
