Job summary

Cloudflare seeks an experienced Application Security engineer to design and scale security-enabled software for a broad internet-facing portfolio. You will build robust systems using Go or Rust and operate at internet scale, with on-call responsibility and rapid iteration.

You will work across teams to evolve security tooling, stay ahead of threats, and help shape Cloudflare’s security-enabled product roadmap while collaborating with product managers and engineers in a fast-paced, AI-assisted

Qualifications

• 5+ years of professional hands-on software development experience.
• Proficiency with at least one of Go or Rust.
• Experience with distributed systems at scale and strong Linux fundamentals.

Responsibilities

• Design systems and write code following bleeding edge industry best practices; review RFCs and technical specs.
• Deploy and maintain live software-based services at scale; participate in On Call shifts.
• Support and grow other engineers through knowledge sharing.
• Keep up to date with trends in detecting current and emerging security risks to web applications and advise on impact to Cloudflare products.
• Collaborate with engineers and product managers outside your team to communicate roadmaps and drive execution.
